Transport and intake

The transport and intake of metal scrap is subject to complex regulations, and comes with a jumble of paperwork. Thanks to decades of experience, we have all the expertise required to handle and document every transport according to the correct procedures.

TRANSPORT TO AND FROM OUR SITE

Metaalhandel Ketting has an extensive array of waste storage containers, ranging in size from 1 to 40 m³. We can set up these swap body containers on location at our clients, after which we can exchange them for empty units – either according to a fixed schedule or on demand.

Solutions of this kind align with our philosophy of working in partnership with our clients to find an efficient, economical and responsible solution for the intake and recycling of scrap metals. It goes without saying that we only work together with authorised, professional transport partners.

LOCATION AND ACCESSIBILITY

Metaalhandel Ketting’s location, situation and outstanding accessibility offer important advantages to our suppliers and clients. Situated in the heart of Rotterdam’s port area, our 10,000-m² site offers a wide range of options for storage and processing.

Our site is located directly on Nieuwe Maas and has two dedicated quays, with a total length of over 200 metres and water depths of at least 3.25 metres. As a result, we are exceptionally easy to access by water, and large shipments of scrap metal can be moved directly on and off our grounds without delay.

Our accessibility over land is as least as good. We are located on the south bank of the waterway – close to the entrance to the Beneluxtunnel – and only a few minutes from the slip roads of various motorways that lead off in every direction.
