Metal recycling purchasing and storage

INTAKE

At Metaalhandel Ketting, we adhere to a fixed, recognisable procedure when purchasing scrap that is offered for sale. It is important to us to remain completely transparent in our dealings with customers and clients. Standard elements of this procedure include an administrative check, a visual inspection and the weighing of materials on our own weighbridge. We also keep close track of the latest developments in our sector, to ensure we can guarantee up-to-date conditions for the items offered to us for sale.

The standard procedure also includes a check for possible radioactive items in the scrap, using a detection system that has been especially installed on our weighbridge for this purpose. In addition, we have advanced analysis equipment that can be used to check any materials that are out of the ordinary in some way. This allows us to make a thorough analysis of the materials offered, which in turn can serve as input for an honest and realistic valuation.

STORAGE

The Metaalhandel Ketting scrapyard, located directly on the Maas River in the heart of Rotterdam’s port area, offers a range of options. Our 10,000-m² site can also be accessed by water, with two quays for loading and unloading that have a combined length of 200 metres. In addition, we have a range of specially equipped cranes and forklifts, a spacious liquid-proof storage facility and covered storage facilities in three dedicated warehouses.
